On the trail I take to get to the Steep Hill are a few grape vines growing along a fence. Only the birds, and ants are harvesting the grapes this season.

I saw some images of once roaring rivers in WA that were mere stretches of wet gravel between boulders now. Scary! Hope there is lots of snow in the mountains this winter!
