I couldn’t resist stopping for a photo of this field of California Goldfields, Phacelia, and I think Brittlebush. The dead branch is full of holes the woodpeckers use to store their goodies in.

Sweet…I love that photo of you. Pleased to meet you ma’am. You look quite fit…all that hiking with heavy gear, I presume…

Hi Wayne,
Thank you! These are Spring flowers. It was a great trip. We saw just about everything we wanted to.
I’m looking forward to more of your Oregon photos too!

Must have been an awesome sight seeing all that color from the wildflowers. That gold contrasts nicely with the blue sky. Do they bloom year round, or only in the spring?
Guess we were both fortunate to have fruitful photo field trips. I’m looking forward to seeing more beautiful photos from your journey.
