A fabulous shot, Deborah. For whatever reason deer are very difficult to photograph at times. This is a wonderful view of the doe. Thanks for sharing.

When I think of Nevada I don’t think of deer. How common are they in your area?

They’re more common several miles west at the base of the Sierras, but out here in the middle of the valley not so much. Early in the mornings I occasionally see a few heading back into the sagebrush behind us, but it’s not often enough! I see Coyotes more often.

And in my part of Austin it’s the reverse. Deer regularly walk through the neighborhood. People tell me they’ve occasionally spotted a coyote in nearby Great Hills Park, but I’ve never seen one.

Thanks for participating, Deborah. I love spotting deer faces. I used to see them on Illinois. Yours is a beauty and I Iike the composition of the shot.

Thank you so much, Janet! I used to see deer all the time when I lived in Calif. but now it’s even more of a treat to see them as I don’t see them very often.

This is a wonderfully composed image. I also love the light, the almost over-exposure wich makes it very sunny and bright. Great shot Deborah!

Thank you so much, Peter! I boosted my exposure to bring the Doe out of the shadows. 😊
