I don’t have much in new content so, I’m reaching into my archives. This image was from a trip to a safari zoo here in Nevada during a time #1 Grandson was here on a visit.

I love its eyes! Not looking at me but, very aware of my camera and presence. Very keen and crafty for sure!!
I hope your week is going well. We’re halfway through it!

Nice. The head is not making sense to me. Is the blob in the upper left-hand corner something in the foreground that is out of focus?

It was behind a plexiglass type of material and the fox was resting under a log or branch. That is what I think is the blob in the left upper corner is. I don’t recall seeing its whole body.

If you hadn’t told us what it was, I would have assumed it was a very handsome dog. Those eyes are compelling. I have to confess the phrase ‘Silver Fox’ brought something quite different to mind!

lol!! That’s funny. FYI our trivia team name is The Silver Foxes. We’re all sporting gray hair these days too.
The eye got me too.

So special. The only fox I ever saw in person was roaming the neighborhood in Lincoln NE while we were out for a walk. Hubby and I saw another when we were visiting the veteran’s memorial at one of the parks there too. It was a big one! They were red foxes though.

How cool to sight them though!! That’s exciting and something you won’t forget!!

You’re so right. I have a short live photo of the one running across a nice yard. 🙂

It’s too bad IG doesn’t give the live movement but I was happy for the photo showing it strolling through the neighborhood.

Great photo, but wouldn’t want to meet this guy without the plexiglass.

Were you shooting through bars?

The Fox enclosure was behind that plexiglass stuff so it’s soft.

Thank you so much, Dan! There was another fox there that was hiding. I stayed for a long time hoping it would come out, but no joy. I was thrilled to see this one. I’ve yet to get a photo of a fox in the wild.

We have some red foxes around here, but I’ve only ever seen them in the spring, after they’ve had babies.

That sounds like a great sighting! I’ve only seen a couple of Kits in the wild one night coming down a mountain after shooting the Milky Way. It was way too dark to get an image and they ran away pretty fast in any case.
