I love this photo. I love the balance in the composition. I love the contrast between the bright moon and the dark land forms. I also love that there is space between the moon and the hillside. It creates tension. Wonderfully seen and photographed.

Stunning capture Deborah. I was out looking at the moon last night as the news announced the super moon but my photo had too much light to capture the usual craters you managed to catch.

Thank you so much, Ashley! You need to under expose or shoot stopped down more and use faster shutter speeds. Bracketing and blending is another option. Since the Moon is reflected sunlight it can be tricky to shoot.
