I took this while out in Moss Landing, CA. It was making continuous sorties from this perch. It was entertaining to watch.
I have to thank Digital Art by Shari for the ID! Thank you!

Polaroid announced this week a new camera the Z340. The Z340 is a 14-megapixel digital camera with a Zink printer inside. You take a picture and the digital file is stored in the camera’s memory, as with any digital camera. But if you push the “print” button, the Zink printer spits out a four by three photograph in about 45 seconds.Read the whole thing here.

This was the second attempt at getting a photograph of the Moon set over San Francisco for Andy and I. When I left the house at 5AM to make the hour drive the Moon was clear and bright, and in San Jose, CA there was no fog. That wasn’t the case by the sea. There was a thin layer of fog over the city, and the longer I waited for the moon to set the thicker the fog got so, by the time the Moon set the city was nearly invisible.
This is a composite of two frames blended. The city is the very first photo I took and 3 minutes later I exposed for the moon and that’s what I’ve blended here.

Over at the Bistro a Nikon Users Group in the flickr community you’ll find lots of talented people. One of those people whom I admire is Linda Clower. She’s not only a talented photographer, but a very creative artist too. Her creativity shines in this abstract titled
“Circles of Color” that I’ve selected to add to this week’s Gallery.

I am deeply honored to have been asked to reprise my role as the Curator of the Bistro Gallery. The Gallery is a weekly feature of the The Bistro a Nikon photography group in the flickr community. For one week I will select photographs that represent the “Best of the Bistro” taken by members of The Bistro. Like this wonderful photograph of a young Buck taken by John C. aka jc-pics

To see all the selections I’ve chosen so far please visit the gallery here.
