San Jose Sunrise

I went out very early this morning to meet some freinds to try and shoot the Crescent Moon as it rose behind Mt. Hamilton, but the clouds were very low and covered the summit obscuring the moon. We left that location and moved a couple of miles southeast to try and catch the sunrise. We were treated to gorgeous colors, but the clouds hid the sun too so I turned my lens toward downtown and photographed the morning sky with the Bank of America Tower in view.

For the History buffs:
The Bank of America Building was built in 1925. It’s one of the oldest skyscrappers in Silicon Valley,. It is a designated San Jose Historical Landmark, and in a National Register of Historic Places—Historic District.
Today it is used for office space.
